John Calvin
Founder & CEO
Agronomist and development economist with over 15 years experience working with smallholder farmers in climate smart agriculture, agroforestry, forestry and livelihoods. John started e-Busytree to solve the problem of access to financing faced by 90% of smallholder farmers.
Abuba Rashida
Co-Founder
Software engineer and data scientist who builds tools that work both online and offline in the fields. Rashida leads credit and carbon modelling in the farmer AI Mobile app development.
Andrew
Lead Developer
Full-stack developer focused on making the staff dashboard simple, secure and reliable for field officers, administrators and individual organizations. He also handled the AI integration in the application.
Nixon Okello
Field Operations Lead
Works directly with farmers and field officers to ensure the app works in real conditions — from planting to carbon and credit verification.
Why We Built This
We built e-Busytree because planting a tree should be the start of a financial story, not the end of one. This platform is our answer to that giving farmers, lenders, and carbon markets a single source of truth they can all trust.
